Bacon and Brew

Have you ever taken a shot of vodka and directly after want to chase it down with a piece of bacon? Me neither. But that weird dream is about to become a reality.

It seems like these days Bacon goes with everything. Well to get you ready for our Bacon and Brew Fest July 18th, how about some very unusual bacon recipes.

We watched the Travel Channel the other night, and Andrew Zimmern ate deep-fried bacon. Now we are obsessed.

Bacon is bacon to me, but there are some differences

This recipe sounds great for bacon lovers and would make a nice gift for dad for Father's Day, if he likes bacon that is. It's a recipe from Alton Brown and he calls it Lacquered Bacon. Instead of frying bacon in a pan you bake it in the oven. It sounds a little weird to do it that way, considering how much most people love pan fried bacon, but the recipe does sound good.

The City Center Danbury Green will be the site of our Bacon and Brew Fest on July 18. Today I take you there, and I brought some bacon.
