The End of Radio Shack?

Bad news came out of the financial district today regarding the future of the long standing electronics retailer, Radio Shack. It looks like sales for the ailing chain were down almost 20 percent as last years fourth quarter came to a close. As a result, the company will be closing around 1,100 stores over the next few months. Not the best news for jobs and the economy.

No word yet on whether stores in the Greater Danbury area will be affected, but only time will tell at this point. It certainly isn’t the end of the line for the chain, but they’ve seen better days, wish them the best.
