The Railroad Museum of New England, or RMNE, has some really fun Fall activities for you and the kids, and the Pumpkin Patch Train is one of those activites. Take in all of the Fall foliage on a rail ride through the Upper Naugatuck Valley, and ride on the tracks right next to the river while taking in the incredible views. Trains leave and return via the Thomaston Station where the museum is. The railway makes a stop at it's very own pumpkin patch where you and the kids can pick out your own pumpkins.

This is a great way to get the kids ready for Halloween and it's something they're sure to remember in years to come. They have other really cool seasonal train rides you can check out as well, like the Easter Bunny Express in the Spring, around Christmas time, the kids will love the Santa Express.
