Are your cats weird, because mine are. I never had cats growing up. We always had dogs and I think I'm definitely a dog person.

Don't get me wrong, I love our cats. They're super cute, but they're also big pains and a bit strange. They "fight" all the time and then we'll find them cuddled up next to each other sleeping or cleaning each other.

Hermione, or little puff as we call her, likes to show her affection by gnawing on your finger and then rubbing her teeth on your finger. It's really weird.

Dexter, or orange man as we call him (among other things), likes to chase his own tail and run around the house like crazy, chasing nothing. Plus, he lets out this loud meow while he races up the stairs.

Today was another interesting incident with the cats. Since our kids are small, we put the screens in the windows on the top part of the window and just open the top. My husband forgot the screen was on the top part of our bedroom window when he opened the window in the middle of the night (plus he was only half awake) and opened the bottom part of the window.

So, I'm getting ready for work this morning and I look out the window. Our window is by the roof to the porch and I saw a black and white, fluffy cat sitting on the roof. The cat looked identical to Hermione. I did a double-take, because I thought I was still not fully awake.

Sure enough the cats had figured out that there was no screen in the window and were now lounging on the roof. Seriously. Hermione came back pretty easily, but Dexter kept pacing back and forth on the edge of the roof. I think he was trying to decide if he could make the jump.

We finally lured him back with food, but that was an interesting way to start the day. I don't think the words "Is that a cat on our roof?!" have ever come out of my mouth. They are definitely interesting creatures, I will give them that.
