Forget the fame and fortune of it all, meeting all the country stars, going to all the concerts and just plain having a good time - the reason it's good to be in radio is "free food."

Yea people think it's a glamorous life, and at times it can be, but it's also stressful and mentally demanding. Take this blog for instance, I'm writing it two hours after my show ended at 10am, (after being up since 4 am) and I'll still be working well into the afternoon.

However, there is one thing that makes it all worthwhile, one thing none of us ever dreamed about when we first said, "Hey, that's a good job"...and that one thing is all the free food you get.

On any given day there can be an "obscene amount" of food that has somehow found it's way into our Kicks Kitchen. Sometimes it's just from a client wanting to say "thanks" for a job well done, and other times it's so that we can taste and extol the virtues of how good so in so's is.

Either way it's good, it's food, and it's free....(forget the diets around here)...when it's free I'm eating it no matter what. I've always said..."Free Food always taste's best".

This is a good example....I don't even know what this is (see picture)...but you know what, we all ate it....and it was good.

So don't think it's all glitz and glamour in this business, it's tough work, you'll hear us talk a lot about all kinds of stuff on the radio, but you'll never hear anyone around this office say..."Who's buying lunch"....
