The National Click it or Ticket campaign is underway, and Police throughout our area will be increasing their Click it or Ticket enforcement.

You know the law either "Click it or Ticket" and according to a press release from the Newtown Police Department and newstimes.com,  you better be buckled up once you head out this Holiday weekend because Police departments throughout the area will be taking a no-excuse approach for seat belt enforcement and writing citations day and night.

The weekend campaign focuses on making sure people are wearing their seat belts, especially at night when an estimated 59 percent of people not wearing seat belts were killed in traffic accidents.
The extra enforcement period ends Nov. 30. It covers the Thanksgiving holiday, which is one of the busiest travel times of the year. So have happy and safe weekend, but remember "Click it or Ticket", it could save your life.
