I have been on a quest to lose weight. I have my Fitbit and it's starting to get warmer out, so the exercise options are about to open up! So excited about that!

There are so many great places to go hiking and biking around here. Some of my favorites for hiking are Putnam Park, Huntington State Park, Tarrywile Park, and Fairfield Hills. It feels so good to get out there and walk on a nice day, especially after being stuck in the house this winter.

Another bonus with some of the hiking trails is that you can bring your dog with you. Our dog loves to come hiking with us! She's part beagle, so she loves to sniff everything. I found a website that has a list of dog friendly hiking trails. I think it's missing some parks, but it's a good start if you want to bring your four legged best friend with you :-)

There are some really good bike trails around here too. My favorite is the Harlem Valley Rail Trail. It's a whole day experience for us, because you bike from Wassaic train station to Millerton and back again.

I'm not a super fast cyclist, but it's fun to make a day of it. We'll get lunch in Millerton before we start heading back to the car. The trail itself is really nice. I can't wait for the weather to warm up so we can hit the rail trail!
