I don't think anyone has ever tipped a cop after getting pulled over, but this Wednesday evening, tipping a cop is a good thing.

Officers from the Brookfield Police Department will be trading in their badges for wait staff aprons this Wednesday night at the 189 Sports Cafe on Federal Road in Brookfield.

It's the annual Brookfield Tip-A-Cop' fundraiser and once again this year, all proceeds collected will benefit the Connecticut Law Enforcement Torch Run. The run, which supports Special Olympics, raises funds and awareness and provides athletic opportunities for kids and adults with intellectual disabilities.

All you need to do to help is head to the 189 Sports Cafe this Wednesday evening anytime between 5 pm and 9 pm. One of Brookfield's finest will be your waiter or waitress, just leave them a big tip, and you'll be helping out this great cause.

According to the town of Brookfield's Website, last year's Tip-a-Cop event raised over $3,000 for Special Olympics Connecticut.
