Our Brews and BBQ event is almost a month away, so it's time to start talking about barbecue. Some people have knack for being about to cook delicious barbecue, but there are tips and tricks to making really good barbecue.

I found a website, AmazingRibs.com, which specializes in barbecue and grilling. They have lots of articles with tips on how to cook your barbecue and get it the way you want it. Everyone wants to have that mouthwatering barbecue, so you can take a look at their website for all the tips. Here are a few from their website:

One of the tips they talk about is controlling the cooking temperature. They explain that a mistake a lot of people make is having too much direct heat on the meat. If a lot of direct heat is used it will result in tough dry meat, according to the article. They then go on to tell you how to create 2 zones for temperature control with your grill, for both gas and charcoal.

Another tip actually involves two different articles on their website. They talk about what the best setup is to get authentic barbecue on both a gas grill and a charcoal grill. Both of these articles will run you through how to get really good barbecue on the grills and they are detailed instructions. Both articles also refer to the 2 zone temperature control with the use of indirect heat. So make sure you read the first article in the paragraph above.

Another helpful article on the website gives tips on how to pick out the best cut of meat. If you've got the cooking down, you want to make sure the meat is going to make for some good barbecue. The article will explain what to look for and why certain types of meat are better to use when barbecuing.
