People are beginning to give up things all over the world such as bad habits, junk foods, dirty language and more for Lent.

In the Catholic religion, Lent is the 40 day time period when people give up something to symbolize the time when Jesus fasted in the desert and suffered temptation by the devil. This leads up through the six weeks up until Easter Sunday.

The last week prior to Easter Sunday is called, Holy Week, that also brings in Palm Sunday (the weekend before Easter) and Holy Wednesday.

What exactly do you plan to give up this Lent season?

I feel like I should give up on using fowl language. Believe it or not, off the air, I tend to have the most inappropriate potty mouth, which doesn't come off as appealing.

Maybe a few weeks of no swears will do some good! :)
