Today is National Pancake Day

Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, so what does that make today? Well, the Tuesday before, but it's not just any ordinary Tuesday.  Happy National Pancake Day! This is the day that Christians all over the country decide that it's a good idea to pig out on America's favorite breakfast food.

Typically today is referred to as Fat Tuesday, where you indulge the day before the fast begins, also known as lent...but over time, the International House of Pancakes or IHOP, has developed today into their own holiday as well. A little bird told me they might even give away free pancakes as well!

I have to be honest, I've known about this for years and have been celebrating it accordingly too...pancake style of course. I don't normally eat nothing but pancakes for the entire day, but I'm certainly looking forward to dinner where it will be breakfast at 7pm!
