Gov. Dannel Malloy's has declared a State of Emergency in Connecticut in light of the incoming blizzard.

He has also issued a travel ban for all roads starting at 9 pm. on Monday

Here's what he had to say about the blizzard:

“People need to take this storm seriously,” said Malloy, in a press release. “If current predictions are accurate, we will need people to stay off the roads so that emergency personnel and utility crews can get to the places they need to get to, and to make sure that our plows can keep critical roadways clear.”

Malloy will give an update on the storm from the Emergency Operations Center in Hartford at 5:02 pm. Danbury is also asking residents to remove their cars from the road.
