If you were planning on visiting Israel anytime within the near future, don't expect to rely on some of the biggest US air carriers to bring you there.

Due to recent ongoing caution about flying near war zones in the Middle East, and a missile that landed near Tel Aviv's airport today, many flights have been cancelled to Israel. Some carriers have even ended flights indefinitely until things calm down.

It looks like United Airlines and Delta Airlines have suspended flights to Israel for at least the next 24 hours from the US, and Lufthansa has done similarly in Europe.

A lot of these suspensions come days after the crash of Malaysian Airlines flight 17 that was shot down near the Ukranian/Russian border. Today, a Delta jet was re-routed to Paris instead of Israel for safety concerns.

Just to be clear, the Malaysian flight and today's actions are results of two different situations going on in the Middle East. The Israelis are fighting Hamas in the Gaza Strip which resulted in the missile landing near Tel Aviv's airport and today's cancellations.

Let's hope things calm down soon.. Better to be safe.
