Now that we're getting ready to finish up another busy school year, it looks like Danbury High School is preparing to grow.

According to The Danbury Daily Voice, local voters approved a $53.5 million plan to expand the school facility to accommodate the growing population. The idea is to add a 28-classroom freshman wing to the already large building.

One of the reasons for separating the freshman from the rest of classes is to improve their experience according to research reported in the Daily Voice.

Mayor Mark Boughton tweeted about it:

We haven't heard on how soon construction will start, but we do know that Danbury High School will obviously keep the title of CT's biggest High School.
