Searching for something? One Connecticut business is taking Google to task.

I can't even tell you how many times a day I use Google search. It has become ingrained in my desire for all sorts of information. If you use it, which I know you do, you know how varied the search results can be. One extremely popular Connecticut based company is not happy about Google's search engine.

According to thehour.com, Wallingford-based Edible Arrangements is suing Google for $209 million. Why you ask? Ad placement while you do your search is the simple answer.

The lawsuit claims Google's placement of rival ads when people search for Edible Arrangements name has damaged the companies business. The suit seeks $200,000,000 for trademark infringement and $9,000,000 in Google profits for running the rival ads.

Makes sense to me that you wouldn't want other companies ads for items similar to what you're offering prominently popping up in your search results. That said, it also comes as no surprise to me that Google has not yet filed a response to the lawsuit.
