Want a Job for the Holiday Season, Try Toys ‘R’ Us or Kohl’s

Retailers Toys ‘R’ Us and Kohl’s plan to hire over a thousand employees for the holiday shopping season right here in Connecticut.

According to foxct.com Toys ‘R’ Us said that it plans to hire 455 seasonal workers in Connecticut at its local stores. Kohls announced plans to hire an average of 50 employees per store in addition to increasing staffing at it’s distribution, e-commerce and credit operations.

Kohls has more than 20 stores in the state.

Toys ‘R’ Us said 20 percent of the people hired for the season retained their jobs after the holiday. Depending on the individual, seasonal Toys ‘R’ Us store employees average 18 to 20 hours per week, and up to 30 hours during peak season according to the company.
