Just when you think it can't get any worse, it does. Tainted heroin hits the streets.

How many more stories? How many more deaths? How many more lives ruined and families pulled apart because of the drug crisis that continues to devastate not only Connecticut, but the whole country?

Now wfsb.com is reporting this frightening update about drug use in the area. Police in Waterbury are warning the public about a batch of heroin that they are pointing to as the culprit for a spike in overdoses in the city.

Police say the bags of heroin are white with red lettering and are stamped with the words "This or That." According to Waterbury Police the bags in question have been found at the scene of several recent overdoses. The Waterbury Police department is asking anyone who comes into contact with these particular bags of heroin to contact them immediately.
