Full disclosure, I am the least of that equation, but I can wedge myself in there! Here's how.

If you are a fan and long time follower of Howard Stern then you know he spent part of his early radio career doing mornings at WCCC in Hartford Connecticut.

Most fans also know that Connecticut native Fred Norris was an intern with Howard at that station back in the day. Fred has been part of the Howard Stern Show ever since elevated to so much more than the "early" intern days!

Enter last night's episode of The Simpson's where Howard, Fred, Hartford CT and WCCC all got a "shout out." Check it out at Fox61.com

OK, we have Howard Stern, Hartford Connecticut, Fred Norris, The Simpsons...and Pam Brooks? The way I wedge my way into the equation is by virtue of my college days and my Hartford radio days. Fred and I went to Western Connecticut State University. We took some communications classes together. I'm sure he doesn't remember me! I however have never forgotten him.

Very quiet...but I loved sitting next to him...because you got to catch his wry wit and wicked sense of humor...mostly under his breath or as an aside. I thought he was very clever. Years later I was on-air at what was then WHCN in Hartford and the person I worked for was one of the local radio guys who back in Howard's ( and Fred's ) early days in CT used to tape the shows and send them to other radio stations to try and get them out of the market. TRUTH... they were that good even back!

So there's my "Degrees of Separation"
