It was this gardener assistant's first day on the job and you're not going to believe what happened!

An article in the NewsTimes tells the story of a 30-year-old gardener's assistant named Sebastian Bloom. It was Bloom's first day at his new job at a New Preston Hill Road residence in Washington, CT. I'm going to go out on a limb here, but judging from personal experience, I've always thought that on your first day at your new job, you try to do your best to impress your new employer. Bloom decided to try out a different technique.

Bloom's first task was to do some weeding in the back yard, which he did successfully until his boss left for about an hour. According to the NewsTimes , Bloom decided to impress his new employer - the gardener for the household - by allegedly breaking into the house, where police say he decided he was thirsty. He allegedly stole two bottles of liquor and proceeded to down 90% of the booze. Then, supposedly, as he was opening the fridge, the eggs caught his eye, so out they came so that he could throw them around the kitchen.

Because Bloom's behavior was very erratic at the end of his work day, his boss along with his wife tried to get him on a bus back to Torrington. Because he was way too drunk, they had to call Bloom's mother to come and pick him up. The following day after his boss saw the huge mess he had made of the kitchen, he called police.

NewsTimes says that Sebastian Bloom was accused of felony third degree burglary, along with two misdemeanors. Employment agencies recommend that you not utilize Bloom's strategy when starting a new job.
