The wind! Gusts up to 75 MPH. That means a lot of power outages. Connecticut already has a travel ban in place for 9 pm, because there are going to be white out conditions.

That means you won't be able to see at all.  DON'T GO ON THE ROADS! I would get home right after work today and hunker down. Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York is urging that for residents as well.

If you experience an outage, call Connecticut Light & Power at 1-800-286-2000 (860-947-2000 in Hartford/Meriden). You can also report at outage, check the status on your outage and check out the outage map here.

Both state's major utility companies are saying this storm is a category 1 storm (which is kind of scary). And with the crazy winds that we're getting- it will knock out power to a lot of people.

So this is a warning to you. Have flashlights. Charge all your electronics! That will also save you from extreme boredom if you can watch some stuff on your phone/ laptop/ tablet, and have candles too. Also have blankets because some people's heat may go out too if it runs on electric.

Just get cozy on your couch, and hunker down. We will all get through this.  Good luck!
