The town of Bethel is a wonderful place any time of the year, but on a summer day or night, it is alive with residents and neighbors taking in the quaint shops, grabbing a bite at one of the wonderful restaurants, grabbing a cup of joe from one of the bakeries or coffee shops or even stopping in for an ice cream cone while strolling along Greenwood Avenue.

But last week, downtown Bethel became a scary scene. An accident in front of a popular eatery in Bethel is the focus of an investigation by police. On Thursday, July 26, a woman was struck by a car near The Note restaurant on Greenwood Avenue.

According to WFSB.com, the victim was not in a crosswalk when she was hit by the vehicle. She sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital.

The accident is still under investigation. Bethel Police are asking that if you have any information about the incident to please call them at 203-744-7900.
