We have been bombarded lately with so much sadness and unbelievable events, that it warms my heart to share a feel-good story with you. Kudos to the man with the big heart, and deep pockets.

In a story from abc7ny.com, people in upstate New York are getting a bit of happy in the past few weeks and here's why; a New York man is handing out cash randomly to people. Certainly, getting money given to you for no reason is a reason to smile, but I think any random act of kindness to one another right now speaks volumes, no matter what it is.

Jeff Buell, who is giving away $50,000 of his own money by handing out $100 bills to complete strangers. Buell has been walking the streets of Troy, New York, choosing people at random, and then handing them cash. He told abc7ny.com that this is what he asks of those he hands the cash to:

The only thing I want in return for that hundred dollars is for you to be kind to people today.

Buell has named his effort. He calls it the "Do The Next Good Thing" campaign, hoping not only to spread happiness and positivity himself, but to encourage others to do the same, saying:

The goal of this project isn't to just disseminate $50,000 and say, 'Hey, we're good people!' The goal is to kind of shift people's perspectives about kindness.

Even if you don't have the means to give away money, I think showing kindness and regard for your fellow man is priceless. Our World has experienced such horrific acts of inhumanity lately, but the acts of kindness are what we should put our focus on.
