Two Danbury men were arrested for shoplifting this weekend after Police say they were seen hiding unpurchased items in their clothing and leaving the Walmart in Danbury.

On Saturday (August 18), Police say 22-year-old Delton Rogers (above left) and 26-year-old Luis Torres (above right) entered the Newtown Road, Danbury Walmart and allegedly tried to leave the store without paying for items they had concealed. Rogers added a robbery charge to the list he is facing after Police say he became aggressive toward the Loss Prevention officer on site. Rogers and Torres were able to push past the officer, get into a car and leave the scene.

Danbury Police found the two men on Harrison Street where they were arrested. Rogers bond was set at $2,500 and faces the following charges:

  • 6th Degree Larceny
  • 6th Degree CTC/Larceny
  • 3rd Degree Robbery

Luis Torres bond was set at $500 and faces these charges:

  • 6th Degree Larceny
  • 6th Degree CTC/Larceny
