It's no surprise that seven people from Connecticut made this year's Forbes 400 list as some of the richest people in the entire country.

According to Forbes.com, the minimum net worth to qualify for the list is $2.1 billion. The average wealth of those on the list increased by $200 million to $7.4 billion.

Shocking absolutely no one, Jeff Bezos, the founder and CEO of Amazon, made the No. 1 spot on the list. He is worth a cool 114 billion.

There were, however, seven people in Connecticut who made the list. The highest person on the list was Ray Dalio, who came in 26th on the list with a net worth of $18.7 billion. Dalio is the founder of the world's biggest hedge fund firm, Bridgewater Associates, which manages $160 billion.

The next Connecticut billionaire on the list is Steve Cohen, who came in 35th with a net worth of $13.6 billion. Cohen oversees Point 72 Asset Management, a $13 billion hedge fund firm that restarted managing outside capital in 2018. Prior to that Cohen ran SAC Capital, one of the most successful hedge funds ever.

The only woman in the Top 7 billionaires of Connecticut was 3rd in the state and 131st overall, and that is Karen Pritzker, with a net worth of $5 billion. Karen is one of 11 billionaire Pritzker heirs. Her grandfather, A.N. Pritzker, built industrial conglomerate Marmot and the Hyatt hotels. She's added to her portfolio, investing in public companies like Apple as well as hundreds of private biotech and medical device firms.

Here's the rest of the four Connecticut billionaires who made this years Top 400:

Vincent McMahon -- $2.9 billion, Clifford Asness -- $2.8 billion, Stephen Mandel Jr -- $2.8 billion and finally, Bradley Jacobs -- $2.1 billion.
