We all played with them as kids, and we've all stepped on them as adults, but for one artist from Redding, she's turned her love of Lego's into a spot on the new show Lego Masters.

Her name is Jessica Ewud, but on the show she goes by the name of Raczy X. She's no newcomer to Lego's, in fact some of her work has already been on display at Rockefeller Center in New York City.

An artist who turned to Lego to take her art work to the next level and propel her as an artist, she still has a hard time comprehending how popular some of her Lego work has become.

She recently told Fox 61 News how surprised and shocked she was when her first gallery show in Greenwich sold out. It was also the show that brought her work to the attention of 'Lego Masters', where they contacted her, and asked her to compete.

However it was the Lego Lincoln that was the piece that told the world that she had arrived as a Lego artist.

She told newstime.com how that came about.

My artwork is not just Lego just because it’s bold; it’s developed a sort of meaning behind my work. I like to do things that are very iconic and the Lego, to me, symbolize the building blocks of something, for example, Abraham Lincoln is the building block of civil rights in America.

Since the Lego Lincoln, she has also done Lego versions of Andy Warhol artwork, plus Lego tributes to Marilyn Monroe and Coco Chanel that have attracted attention from art collectors worldwide.

You can catch Jessica, or should I say Raczy X, along with her partner Sam, on the show Lego Masters, where she's competing for the top prize of $100,000. The show airs Wednesday night's at 9 PM, and yes like many reality shows, there's plenty of drama.
