As someone who really enjoys going to see live music on the weekends, and really misses it lately, I applaud the creativity that went into planning a drive-thru festival with live music happening this Sunday at Barton Orchards in Poughquag, NY.

The orchard typically hosts all kinds of events on weekends, and with the apple blossoms in full bloom, they are putting on a "Concert From Your Car" this Sunday (May 3) from noon-6 PM.

Admission to the festival is free, and there will be live musicians at various points along the orchard's trail. Attendees can drive through the trail more than once to enjoy all of the different music, and Barton's farm market will be open for in-store shopping, curbside pickup and delivery.

In a Facebook post announcing the event, owner Peter Barton said,

One of the most beautiful sites at the orchard is when the apple trees are in bloom. For a short period of time, the property is peppered with an array of delicate white flowers which will later become this season's apple crop. We want our customers to enjoy this wonderful scene as well. With social distancing in mind, we will have pathway roped off where residence can observe and take pictures of the flowers from their vehicles.

Social distancing must be observed, and participants must remain in their vehicle for the duration of the trail.Artists appearing will be Angelo Santilli, the Dirt Road Pickers, Smokin' Steve Wells, Chris Raabe, The Mighty Flynn, O Solo Vito and the Differents. Barton Orchards is at 63 Apple Tree Lane in Poughquag, NY.
