I love a good Hudson Valley adventure and if you listen to the show on a daily basis, you know that I'm all about hiking.

I'm not an expert hiker, but I don't mind getting a little sweaty and getting down and dirty in the middle of the woods. That sounded wrong, but you get what I'm saying. Anyway, my hike this weekend was on the easier side. I've heard and even posted about Bash Bish State Park, so when my two friends mentioned they were going it I immediately told them I wanted in on their hike.

It took about an hour to get to Bash Bish from Poughkeepsie and falls on the New York/Massachusetts state line. At one point on Saturday I was in two places at once.

If you do visit Bash Bish, make sure to park in the New York lot. The walk to the falls is much more scenic. The hike itself is only 3/4 of a mile, but it's totally worth it with views like this:

The water was so clear and crisp. To be honest, I didn't feel like I was in the middle of New York. Bash Bish is located at Route 344 in Copake Falls ( Their Massachusetts address is Mt Everett State Reservation, Falls Rd, Mt. Washington, MA 01258 in case you want to head out of state.)
