If you're looking for a puppy, but don't want the hyper active temperament of a young dog, then Bernie the Beagle may be just what your looking for.

He was found as a stray in Kentucky and wound up in one of the high kill shelters. Fortunately, he was rescued and wound up at the Animal Welfare Society in New Milford and now he's looking for his first forever home.

Bernie the Beagle is about nine-months-old and is a little mush. He loves to snuggle and unlike most puppies, doesn't have that hyper active personality. He needs work on the leash, and he can be very shy when he first meets new people, but after he feels comfortable he's one heck of a great dog.
