Bethel Cinema Closes for Good After 15 Years

It's one of the first local business casualties of the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Citing the current pandemic and the economic strife that goes along with it, the Bethel Cinema announced on Monday that they will be closing its doors for good.

For the past 15 years, the Bethel Cinema has been locally owned and operated by Ken Karlan and Pam Karpen, and has been screening independent films and special showings of new movies. Now they have become a victim of the COVID-19 pandemic.

They made the sad announcement through an e-mail and on their Facebook page on Monday.

The duo also expressed interest in any person who may want to take over the cinema.
