Hailey Gesler and Marcella Antunes may look like your typical 12-year-old girls at Bethel Middle School but they have an extraordinary goal. Last month their English Language Arts teacher presented them with an assignment to write about something that affects today's society. The girls not only chose to focus on LGBTQ rights, they are organizing a parade for the town of Bethel on April 23, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

Their goal is to make the town of Bethel a welcoming community of support where people from all walks of life can feel at home.

As the planning continues to unfold for the parade they welcome any ideas that you may have. As you can imagine, a project like this takes a lot of coordinating and tons of effort.
