Have you missed walking through the front gates of the Big E? I sure have. After everything got cancelled last year, it was sad to miss the fair. They did a great job at finding alternatives for Big E fans, though, including drive-thru food festivals to still grab fair favorites

The Eastern States Exposition Center have officially announced drive-in movies that will be coming to the Big E Fairgrounds all year long with a set opening date of April 23. The Big E made the official announcement on a Facebook post:

According to Western Mass News, the drive-in will accommodate 300 cars and will feature two screens. It will open on weekends throughout the spring and then 7 days a week during summer into Labor Day. They plan to close it during The Big E, but then reopen from October through December for holiday events.

The release also states that the drive-in will feature an array of new releases, classic films, livestream concerts, and more. Guests will have access to a full concession stand featuring regular concession foods along with popular fair foods.

The movies playing will be announced weekly and tickets will be available at the time of the announcement.

What a fun thing to be able to do in the summer. If you are feeling a trip up to Eastern States Exposition Center for a fun drive-in experience, you're in luck!

Gene Cassidy, Eastern States Exposition President and CEO had this to say about the new drive-in coming to the fairgrounds,

Our fairgrounds is the perfect setting for a drive-in theater and we are excited to welcome movie fans in April. Some may recall the Memorial Drive-In, just down the street. We are delighted to carry on that tradition of safe, family fun and look forward to working with EJ and the FestEvent Team.
