His name is Bluford and a little over six months ago, he was one of our featured pets. It's hard to believe, but he still hasn't found his forever home, so he's joining us again this week as our Pet of the Week.

Bluford is about 2 and a half years old and is a hound mix. He's got a great personality and is extremely friendly, however he's not a big fan of cats. He would prefer a home that doesn't have any. Other than that, he's good to go.

Bluford has already been nurtured and is completely vetted, so all you have to do is stop into the Animal Welfare Society in New Milford and tell them you're looking for him.

Just remember, when adopting a new pet, you're not only adopting the dog, but you're adopting the breed. Being part hound dog -- Bluford's going to want to sniff around a bit and would love to go to a home with a yard so he can get out there and explore.

Here's a closer look at Bluford:
