Yes, it is true, there was an earthquake in Connecticut today. Always surprising to hear about these things on the East Coast, because it reminds me of California and the West Coast. But it does happen here from time to time. It happened in the corner of the state near Rhode Island in Plainfield, Connecticut. But what freaks me out the most about it is that there was a strange sound that happened with it.A HUGE BOOM! According to NBC Connecticut, residents woke up this morning to some very loud explosion-type sounds and then shaking. Then everyone called 911 to be like "hey! what's going on?!" (I would do the same).

Boston College takes seismographs (fancy word of saying earth rumblings) and they confirmed that there was a 2.0 earthquake. Also, I didn't know this BUT New England does have earthquake activity- about six per year! Whoa!

Luckily, there was no damage, but people were just a little "shaken up."

I was in Boston when they had a summer earthquake a couple years ago. I didn't feel it. Is it bad that I'm kinda bummed out I didn't feel it!?
