When most people hear the words "Pit Bull", the first thing they think of is often "vicious" or "aggressive" — that's because they've never met Elmer.

Elmer is a Spuds Mackenzie look alike, and is a 2-year-old Pit Bull who had a rough start in life, however, since he's been at the Animal Welfare Society things have gotten a lot better.

He is an active dog who hasn't had much training, but would be great in a home where he can be part of the family. He gets along great with people — so much for that Pit Bull stigma — but may not always see eye-to-eye with cats or some other dogs. One of Elmer's favorite things to do is cuddle, and he would love to do that in his new forever home.
