If you are an animal lover like me and even more so if you are a cat lover (like meow) you most likely know the story of Christian the Lion. But, in case you don't or if you haven't seen the video, let me be the one to tell you.

In 1969 two men, Anthony Bourke and John Rendell, walked into Harrod's Department store and saw a lion cub cooped up in a small cage. Long story short, they decided to adopt him. They took him home and named him "Christian".

In the year that followed, Christian grew too big to stay with them. The video is below and is totally worth the two minutes and thirty one seconds it takes to watch it. Get your tissues ready, though, I can tell you this right now, if you are anything like me, you are going to need them.
