Last weekend all kinds of costume characters, and sci-fi celebrities converged on Hartford to take part in the annual ConnectiConn Convention.

Now before I get started let me tell you that this was my very first ConnectiConn experience. I am not a Trekkie,  I don't Cosplay, and I'm pretty terrible at "Super Smash Brothers", but since I was given press passes I decided to go and see what all the buzz was about.

Check out this video from FoxCt

At first it was kinda strange seeing all the people in costume, but once I got my bearings and settled in it was a lot of fun. I was actually more impressed with the celebrity panelist's that were there to talk to fans and sign autographs. Look who I actually got to meet:

It's Deep Roy...now you can't tell me you don't know who Deep Roy is....wait maybe you don't recognize him without his "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" make-up....

Now I'm sure you know who he is.

All in all it was a great experience and yes i might even go again, but I'm definitely going to have to brush up on my Pokemon characters names and dig out my old "Super Smash Brothers" game.
