With each passing day, the State of Connecticut is doing more and more to promote social distancing and take the proper precautions in the battle against the spread of the novel coronavirus, the latest being an order to extend all closure, distancing, and safety measures for another month.

In his 24th executive order since Connecticut has enacted declarations of both public health and civil preparedness emergencies, Governor Ned Lamont announced on Friday, April 10, that the statewide extension to his previously enacted orders will last at least through May 20, and will go into effect immediately.

"This is no doubt a difficult situation," said Gov. Lamont. "But I cannot stress enough that these actions are saving lives by staying home."

The governor's order applies to the following provisions, which were already in place:
