Connecticut On Top Of College Basketball World

The UCONN Huskies completed a clean sweep in college basketball as the Ladies and Men each took home the 2014 National Championship.

For the first time since 2004 both UCONN basketball teams are National Champions.

The Men defeated Kentucky Monday night for their 4th title, and the ladies completed a perfect 40-0 season and took home their crown Tuesday night with a win over Notre Dame.

It was also a milestone for Lady head coach Gino Auriemma, it was his 9th National Title which surpasses former Tennessee head coach Pat Summitt who had 8. Gino is also now 9-0 in title games.

So yet again this year Storrs Connecticut has become the mecca of the college basketball world....Congratulations to both the Men and Women Huskies !!!!
