The Connecticut State Police are looking to the public for help in identifying a man who was involved with a serious crash in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

According to a press release, the accident, which reportedly involved multiple vehicles, happened on the southbound side of Route 8 in Derby right near exit 17 around 3:00 AM on July 3.

The man police are looking to identify (pictured above) is described as a black male believed to be about 40 years old, standing 6 feet tall and weighs about 160 lbs. He has a heart tattoo on his right arm and “JABA” tattooed on his left forearm, with more writing that is bandaged over. At the time of the accident, he was reportedly wearing black jeans over multicolored pajama bottoms and black Jordan sneakers.

As of this writing, both the man and the person who was driving the vehicle are unable to speak with investigators at this time.
