The Holiday season is a time for giving and one local 5-year-old girl from Newtown was definitely thinking of others when she told her one Christmas wish to a sales consultant in Danbury.

Little Zoey Seferi’s simple wish this year was not for herself, but for others. Her wish is that all her friends at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Westchester get presents this Christmas.

See, Zoey was born with an autoimmune disorder, and is highly susceptible to infection, especially in her lungs. Zoey receives treatment at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, so that's why she wants to see all the children there taken care of this Christmas.

Jake Green, a sales consultant at Danbury Kia, learned of Zoey’s Christmas wish when her mom Amanda went there to get an all-wheel drive vehicle to make sure she can get Zoey to all her treatments through the winter months. Once the folks at Danbury Kia found out about this special wish, they agreed to use their showroom as a toy collection center, and to transport all the toys and gifts collected to the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital.

Danbury Kia's Owner Bill Sabatini had this to say in a recent press release:

Danbury Kia supports community organizations throughout the year but December is a special season of giving for us. It is our pleasure to help grant this Christmas wish for Zoey and her friends. In this holiday season, we wish them a speedy recovery, and health and happiness for the future.

There's still time to drop off a toy or gift that they can bring to the Hospital when they make the delivery on Monday, December 18.

To donate, please drop off an unwrapped item to the Danbury Kia sales showroom anytime during the hours of 9 am to 7:30 pm Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 7 pm on Friday, 9 am to 6 pm on Saturday, and 11 am to 3 pm on Sunday. Deadline for donations is this Sunday, December 17.

Here's some of the criteria when dropping of a donation.

All donated items MUST BE NEW and UNWRAPPED.
As a non-denominational institution, toys or items perceived as violent (i.e. Guns, swords, bow and arrows, etc.) or items with religious content cannot be distributed.
Food items, latex balloons or toys made of glass, wood or brittle plastic cannot be accepted
Movies/video games/CDs must be suitable for all age groups: G, PG, PG-13, and E ratings

Due to the nature of everyone's compromised immune systems and the level of care they are receiving either in ICU or as an in patient, donations cannot be given directly to the children, but must be coordinated through the hospital and their staff of doctors and nurses.
