According to the Danbury Fire Department, the crash was reported just after 11:00 PM on White Street in the area of the Crosby Street intersection, with the DFD, the Danbury Police Department and Danbury EMS all responding. When local emergency services arrived on the scene, they say it was apparent that the Mazda SUV (pictured above and below) had veered off the roadway and rolled over before striking the cement wall along the side of the Still River.

Under the command of Deputy Fire Chief Joseph Halas, firefighters from Platoon C reportedly discovered two injured occupants inside of the SUV, which was still on its side in the grass.

Members of the fire department, the DPD and EMS all worked to removed the injured occupants from the vehicle before they were hastily transported to Danbury Hospital. The crash was then investigated by Danbury Police, with lighting provided by the DFD.

As of this writing, no update on the medical condition of the two injured occupants has been made available.
