A Danbury man is facing charges after a domestic disturbance took place in the city on Midfield Road Saturday morning (February 6).

According to the CT Post, 25-year-old Xavier Michael Bishop was arrested after police say he broke into a woman's home, broke multiple items of furniture and then assaulted her.

The woman was transported to Danbury Hospital and treated for the injuries sustained during the attack. Her condition remains unknown, but police say they didn't appear to be life-threatening.

According to the post, Bishop is being charged with a laundry list of different things. He's being charged with home invasion, second-degree assault, second-degree threatening, third-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension and illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle.

Bishop is currently being held on a $350,000 bond and has a pre-trial hearing date set for April 19.

This isn't Bishop's first time getting in trouble with the law. Back in 2017, we wrote an article about Bishop in which he was being accused by police for dealing crack around the city with his one-year-old daughter in the car.

Thank you to Danbury Police Department for always making sure you're keeping our city safe and taking all necessary steps to do so.

We will update this story as we get more information.
