On June 4th, a Danbury Police officer overheard cries for help in our area. The officer then discovered a man who had fallen off a bridge and was injured, in need of assistance. The Danbury Fire Department and EMS were called to assist with the situation.

The teams uncovered that the injured man had fallen about 12 feet down into poison ivy, near a riverbank. In order to retrieve the man, firefighters cleared debris from the area and then hoisted him up in a basket stretcher. EMS was then able to assist on the street and take the man to the hospital for his injuries.
