More drugs are off the street in Danbury, as a Waterbury man was arrested at a recording studio on White St. yesterday (Aug.17).

According to a press release from the Danbury Police Department, 30-year-old Omar "Gucci" Thomas of Waterbury was arrested and charged after officers from Danbury's SWAT team, Special Investigations Division (SID), and the Community Conditions Unit carried out a search and seizure warrant. The warrant for Thomas came by way of a weeks-long investigation that turned up evidence consistent with drug trafficking at Imperial Sound Studios on White St.

While executing the warrant in front of Imperial Sound Studios, Omar "Gucci" Thomas was found to be in possession of a loaded pistol with an altered serial number, cocaine, and heroin. He was processed at Danbury Police Department and charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell and criminal possession of a pistol, among other related charges.
