She got her career started on YouTube and over the summer, Candice Moore took things to the next level and opened up her own yoga studio in Ridgefield.

After building her YouTube channel to include some 264,000 subscribers and over 50,0000 followers, an interesting set of circumstances actually led to the newest yoga studio in Greater Danbury called Namaslay Studios.

According to News Times, Candice’s mother introduced her to yoga at the early age of 15. Then, after graduating from college with a teaching degree, her ex-husband's job took them all over the world, which made it impossible for her to follow a teaching career. So she decided to focus on her love of yoga.

After recovering from a serious case of Lyme Disease, she went back to school in 2012, graduating from yoga teacher training in Thailand.

She then took to social media with yoga blogs and instructional videos, which led to a book deal and teaching at yoga retreats in places like Santorini, Costa Rica, Morocco and Ibiza.

After moving back to Connecticut to be closer to family, and settling in Danbury with her new boyfriend, she set her sights on a local studio, where she could continue her YouTube videos. That place was Namaslay Studios on Danbury Road in Ridgefield.

Thanks to support from her YouTube followers, she decided to open the studio for public and private classes during the summer. Candice explained what her studio is all about to newstimes.com:

I try to encourage people to just do what they can with what they have. Wear what you want, be who your are, take the pressure off. My goal is just to foster a safe space for people who are interested in yoga, create a sense of community and get to know people. The studio has five instructors, and features funky yoga classes like hip hop yoga, strength training and donation-based classes. It's just fun yoga to really great music. All our night classes have ambiance mood lighting. It's a funky vibe, chill and laid back.

The studio is located at 159 Danbury Road in Ridgefield and is open Tuesdays through Sundays with different classes offered at various times.
