Back in January, firefighters and citizens' quick actions saved 86 puppies from a fire on the property of Puppy Love on Mill Plain Road in Danbury. This weekend, the story will go nationwide as it will be featured on a new TV show on ABC Televison.

On January 3, a fire broke out in a storage building behind puppy love. Local residents dining at area restaurants and people from the neighborhood acted with the fire department to get every one of the puppies to safety.

According the the News-Times, The actions from that night will be documented in a segment of ABC's new series, Hearts of Heroes. The show airs Saturday mornings at 11:00 AM and can be seen locally on WTNH, Channel 8, and WABC, Channel 7.

Hearts of Heroes is a new show that spotlights

the stories of men and women braving natural disasters with one goal: to rescue the victims and help restore their lives.

The show is hosted by ABC-TV's chief meteorologist, Ginger Zee. It's nice to see that such a great story with a happy ending will be getting national attention.
