The 2016 ACM Awards are fast approaching, and new host Dierks Bentley has been given the honor of announcing the coveted nominations for some of the biggest categories of the event.

Bentley will appear live on CBS This Morning during the 8AM ET hour to read off the list of talented nominees for Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Vocal Duo of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year and Album of the Year.

The 51st annual ACM Awards are slated to air April 3, 2016 on CBS, with Bentley and Luke Bryan co-hosting the affair. It’s the "Drunk on a Plane" hitmaker's first time hosting, and he says he’s a bit nervous.

“I’ve never done it before, so we’ll see how it goes,” Bentley admitted to Ellen DeGeneres after performing his latest single "Somewhere on a Beach,” which appears on his new album Black.

The record does not yet have a release date, but Bentley has said the songs will be very personal. The album’s title comes from its reflection on some dark times in his life, but also an enjoyment of the lighter ones, as his wife’s maiden name is Black.

“The songs on Black range from the lonesomeness of an impossible relationship to ones that describe the feeling of finding that person that makes you forget the one that broke your heart,” he explains.

Bentley’s Somewhere on a Beach Tour kicks off May 12 and features openers Randy Houser, Cam and Tucker Beathard.
