This Sunday afternoon while you're chowing down on a burger or some great seafood at Down The Hatch in Brookfield, you'll be helping out disabled veterans.

Between noon and 5, the Hatch will be hosting a special event for the Building Homes for Heroes organization.  There will be a raffle with great prizes from restaurant gift certificates to gym memberships to food & wine gift baskets, with 100% of the proceeds going to Building Homes for Heroes.

PLUS - One raffle will be for VIP BOX Seats with VIP Parking to The Zac Brown Band in Hartford in June - courtesy of the folks at Down the Hatch!

Building Homes for Heroes is a national non profit organization. They build or modify homes and then gift them, mortgage-free, to wounded veterans and their families.

The event goes from 12-5 on Sunday and families are welcome. KICKS will be there broadcasting live from 1-3. We'll be joined by our friends from DSW Homes of Milford, Liberty Closet and Garage and Frontier Communications. We'll see you there for some great food, an awesome cause and spectacular views of the lake!

Down the Hatch is at 292 Candlewood Lake Road in Brookfield. To find out more about Building Homes for Heroes click here.
