About a month ago, we featured Forest and his best friend in the whole world Mickey. They had been together for most of their lives, but recently, Mickey was adopted, so now Forest is all by himself and he would love to find a home of his own.

Forest is a 10-year-old chihuahua, and he's one of the nicest little dogs you'll ever meet. He's not a biter like some chihuahua's, he's a lover.

Here's the back story on Forest:

He and Mickey were with a family of their own for a long time and life was good. Then divorce reared its ugly head and Mickey and Forest wound up at the Animal Welfare Society in New Milford.

A few weeks ago, someone adopted Mickey and that left Forest all by himself. His longtime friend and companion was gone. So now we're doing everything we can to get Forest a new home.

Since Forest is a senior dog, he also qualifies for the Animal Welfare Society senior to senior discount.

They’re open Tuesday from 11 AM to 7 PM, and Wednesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM.

Keep in mind the Animal Welfare Society is undergoing construction to serve you and the animals better, so just them call before you go.
