Frankie’s Restaurant in Brookfield Celebrating Grand Opening

As a lifelong Waterbury resident, it warms my heart when I see a business that I grew up with make it's way across this great state of Connecticut.

I've been eating Frankie's Restaurant's food all of my life, I've probably eaten hundreds of miles of Frankie's Famous Footlong Hot Dogs over the years. They bill themselves as "the gourmet of fast foods", and they've been around and in operation since the the 1930's.

You can't survive in the restaurant industry for that long without doing mostly everything right, but Frankie's has. The Brookfield Frankie's location opened their doors earlier this year, then coronavirus hit, and most restaurants shut down, if not for good, for a few months. Frankie's has made it through, and they're finally ready to celebrate their Grand Opening, albeit a bit late, but, we benefit from it.

The official Frankie's Restaurant of Brookfield grand opening celebration is happening Saturday September 26, 2020 at 270 Federal Road. From 11AM to 9PM, they'll be selling $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Burgers, $2 Fries, and $2 Milkshakes. Plus, they'll be giving away gift cards, t-shirts, jars of their famous relish, and coupons.

To whet your whistle, here's a peek at the 20 different varieties of Famous Franks that they offer, I'm a big fan of the Chicago-style and the Irish dog. If you can imagine a combination of toppings, they can pull it off at Frankie's. Get me an order of their fried clams, steak fries, and a large birch beer, and I'll see you at Frankie's.
